Broadband TV

Posted by ISA | 3:53 AM | 0 comments »

I'm working on this new project for a broadband TV. It's for Malaysian. Soon.

And i'm working on this new blog posting – direct from word thing. See if this work.

How to ensure you are on track of your dreams if you don't share it with the world? No one would remind you (admit it, even you would ignore yourself when you are not in the mood!). Hence, that's exactly why you need to be in Dorthy.

Dorthy's concept is simple. You create your dreampage, share it with the world, keep your search alive (for articles from all over the web related to your dream) 24 hours a day, learn from smart people and linked yourself with others who have similar dreams. Be in the loop. Be on track!

Whatever your dreams. Name it.

Think. There must be something new you want to learn in 2010. That can be your first dreampage!

BMW Internet TV

I think every corporation should have it's own internet TV as the marketing tool like what BMW did. Gone were the days when audience are satisfied with static pages.

The word today is FEEL & EXPERIENCE.

High Speed Internet in Malaysia

Imagine a day when there is no buffering time while you're watching a video from the net. Imagine a day when you can talk to your family at hometown via your own TV and watch the same movie. Imagine watching unlimited channels and ability to do work at the same time on the same screen.

Imagine that and more!

It can be possible when we have high speed internet internet. And I'm not talking about max of 4mbps. Instead, it will be 100x faster!

Who is planning to bring (finally!) this 'miracle' to our home? Who else but our dear monopoly-king-telco of our own country - TM! Thank god. It's about time they do something more aggressive so that I can boast to my Singaporean friends - "Siapa heran hi-speed? I also got in my country lah!". Haha. We don't want them berlagak (showing off) their Mio TV without ours to berlagak back, right? Sure, TM got Hypp.TV (internet TV) set up and all but without high speed internet the impact won't be the same.

Anyway, the deal is High Speed Broad Band (HSBB) will initially be deployed via DSL in the Klang Valley, Iskandar Malaysia and key industrial zones throughout the country. It is expected that 1.3 million premises will have the ability to access HSBB coverage by end 2012.

This hi speed broadband upgrade will definately trigger exponential growth in many areas! I think this is great news to people who love to be 'connected' (smooth one while at that!). Unless you are allergic to society and people, the multiple advantages of hi speed broad band is highly awaited by everyone. Of course, with this also comes the need to tighten the security for improper content. The fast streaming technology will make it more tricky to filter improper sites and attacks (porn, virus, spam etc). Discovering your kids watching porn at 4 years old will be a nightmare you don't want to see!

As usual - all GLC (government linked company) plans should be taken with a pinch of salt. Objective wise - by end of next year a big chunk of area in the high economic impact category should already be able to enjoy the hi-speed upgrade. And by end of 2012 the rest will be covered.

The plan is promising. Now. let's pray the implementation would be trouble free. I want to have access to information easily - whatever I want, whenever I want, wherever I am!

What Bull...?

Posted by ISA | 8:55 PM | 0 comments »

Sometimes you meet some people who BS so much you wanted to say so many things back but you don't. Probably because 1. you are 'nicer' than them or 2. you don't want the conversation to end with kicks and punches.

What do you do then? You know you need to vent it out - or else the steam will toast your mind.

How about buy one of this :

You don't have to say anything. Just press!!!!!

It's description - "This straight-talking Bullshit Button allows you to call bullshit whenever you see it! Simply press the red buzzer to make it light up, buzz loudly and announce, That was bullshit! or shout, Bullshit detected, take precautions! over a wailing siren. No friend, relative, teacher, or colleague will dare to bullshit you again after setting off the bullshit alarm."

What The...? Get it at Amazon.

p.s I don't think it guarantees you from NOT being punch on the face if you do that infront of the BS-er though.

Apple Tablet in Q1 2010?

The rumour mills has been working over time regarding Apple's latest grand project - the tablet pc - which is yet to be named.

Which one is the nearest resemblance? Below are various artist renditions from all over the net.

Now let's just drool and wait for the so-called Feb 2010 launch, shall we?
